Drama is taught throughout the College and focuses on the development of subject specific skills and the exploration of relevant themes such as:

Understanding narrative structure


Physical skills including commedia del'arte and slap stick

Themes include bullying, suffragettes, human rights

Extra-curricular activities

Extra-curricular activities are popular with our students and recent productions have included; Oliver, Bugsy Malone and My Fair Lady. Students also have an opportunity to participate in the ever popular Inter-House Drama Competition and the Midsummer Festival which show cases open air performances of Shakespeare. This dynamic programme of activities provides opportunities for students at all abilities to participate and grow in experience and confidence as they mature and move through the College.

Students are also encouraged to participate in LAMDA classes (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) which offer a comprehensive syllabus of performing examinations in: the speaking of verse and prose, reading for performance, public speaking, acting, devised performance, mime, recital and choral speaking.
