Fees from 1st January 2025, following introduction of VAT
At St Edmund’s our fee structure ensures payments are clear and simple. Fees for each age group include VAT, lunches, textbooks and some stationery items.
Our fees are inclusive of the College-wide accident and personal effects insurance schemes. Full boarders can also be covered by the College AXA PPP health insurance scheme (on application).
Fees are payable in advance before the commencement of the College and Prep term to which they relate. All other items, including (but not limited to) coach fares, public examination fees, educational trips and weekend or evening boarding trips are charged in arrears at the end of the term to which they relate. All extras will be detailed on your termly invoice.

*St Edmund’s College & Prep participates in the Free Early Education Scheme. The Nursery fees shown are before any allowance for this free provision.
**The flexi boarding fee is for occasional overnight stays (subject to availability) and is payable in addition to day fees. Flexi boarding is for a maximum of three nights per week.
Fee discounts
HM Forces
A 10% reduction in the fees is granted to children who have a parent serving in HM Forces.
Sibling discount
St Edmund’s sibling discounts:
- 1st Child: Full fees
- 2nd Child: 5% discount (must attend concurrently)
- 3rd Child: 10% discount (must attend concurrently)
- 4th Child: 15% discount (must attend concurrently)
- Subsequent children: 50% discount
Child Student Visa
Students who require a child student visa to study in the UK will be charged £810.00 for our visa compliance administration services.
Payment of fees
Fees should be paid termly or monthly in advance. Fees must be paid by one of the following methods:
- by direct debit;
- termly on the 1 September, 1 January and 1 May;
- by direct debit with our ten month instalment scheme, commencing in September;
- by agreement with the College if the student joins during the course of the academic year.
St Edmund’s College & Prep will try to give a full term’s notice of a change of fees, but this may not always be possible.
Registration fee
From 1st January 2025, an £180 non-returnable fee is payable on registration via our admissions online, secure portal except for entry to our Nursery.
Acceptance deposit
An acceptance deposit of £1500.00 is payable on confirmation of an accepted place. This money is held in order to cover any necessary or emergency expenses incurred during the student’s time at the College. This amount will be refunded when the student finishes, less any expenses incurred.
