Boarders participate fully in the co-curricular life of the College which offers a full and enriching programme of activities. In addition, our boarding students are offered and encouraged to participate in, a full programme of evening and weekend activities.
On-site they are able to take advantage of the school’s excellent facilities including the indoor swimming pool, sports hall with fully equipped gym, table tennis, astro-turf, tennis courts, library and the ICT suites. There are weekly swimming, aerobics and squash coaching sessions as well as the chance for students to just ‘play for fun’ sports such as basketball, badminton and tennis. At the weekends there are trips to the theatre, cinema, shopping centres, London, Cambridge, Windsor, Oxford and beyond. We aim to provide a balanced programme of cultural and social activities and trips with age appropriate events in place also.
The boarding community is made up of students from twenty different countries and themed evenings are thoroughly enjoyed by all which are often organised by the students themselves. These give students the chance to learn about different cultures and the world they live in. There is an annual Christmas talent show which is one of the highlights for many students as well as the opportunity to take part in the College music and drama productions.
