Student Devices For Elements (Year 7)

All pupils joining the College in Elements (Year 7) will be required to purchase a device through this scheme, with orders placed in advance of their start at St Edmund’s.

Through this scheme, parents can order a pre-configured, school-approved device that integrates with our learning platforms and safeguarding software. Parents own the device, while St Edmund’s manages the operating system and software, ensuring a reliable and safe digital experience throughout your child’s time at college. The scheme includes flexible payment options, technical support, loan devices and accidental damage protection.

To place an order, please click Start below.

Are the devices pre-configured?

Yes, all devices are pre-configured and ready to use on the student’s first day.

What support is included?

We offer a managed service with full break/fix lifecycle management, 360 Gold Support, and EduGuard Asset Protection.

Will I have to sign anything?

Yes, there will be a consumer credit agreement

What happens at the end of the rental term?

You have the option to return the device or purchase it. If you choose to return it, the deposit amount will be refunded.

What happens if I miss a payment?

HardSoft will initially follow up with the parent regarding missed payments. After two missed payments, the College may be asked to intervene to follow up with the parent or recover the device. The College is not liable for any missed payments. The financial relationship is between HardSoft and the Parent.

What happens if the device is damaged or stolen?

HardSoft EduGuard Asset Protection is included with all 1:1 options, meaning the school can use HardSoft to log a claim and have the device repaired or replaced, all within the same ticket system as warranty repairs. There is a small Excess for claims and a cap of two claims per device per year. Note that lost devices are not covered under the Asset Protection policy.

If the device fails during their school day, what do they do for the rest of the day?

HardSoft will provide the College with a small loan bank of devices that the School can set up for your child to work on while a ticket is created and resolved for the faulty device.
