Accommodation
Boarding House areas for boys and girls are separate, but our boarding programme is fully co-educational with common room spaces to socialise and relax after a day of study. Boys’ Boarding is located in ‘Allen Hall’, named after Cardinal William Allen who founded the College in 1568 and girls’ are in ‘Garvey’s’.
All of the bedrooms are either single or twin rooms with Years 7 to 11 sharing twin rooms and Years 12-13 in single rooms allowing them quiet study time and personal space. All rooms are furnished with a wardrobe, desk and the majority a washbasin. In addition, all bedrooms benefit from wireless internet with strict access controls and timings to ensure students not only engage in boarding life, have the freedom to use the internet at suitable times but also benefit from internet safety controls. Showers and toilets are available for each corridor of girls’ and boys’ boarding.

Common Rooms
Each floor has its own common room where the students can meet in the evenings and where also before lights out can enjoy hot chocolate and toast with boarding staff. This is also an area at the weekends where the students can play board and computer games, enjoy DVD evenings and come together to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions.
There is also a mixed common room, where in the evenings, after Prep, the students can come together to relax.
