Pastoral
From the moment our students and parents join St Edmund’s we consider them part of our family and our pastoral approach reflects this. We aim to support our students so they leave us as well-rounded, happy, confident and kind young people with strong values. They will have some excellent academic grades but much, much more and we are proud that students and parents consistently refer to the outstanding support and guidance they receive.
Whilst every student in the College will have a great deal of fun during their time here. It is also a time of their lives when they will be developing from children into young adults. There will inevitably be ups and downs along the way. Learning how to navigate and overcome challenges, however big or small often provides the life lessons and skills that students need most as they move into an increasingly competitive and complex world.
Our pastoral care is complemented by our wellbeing provision and a focus on personal development which includes our PSHE & RSE programme, Careers & Futures and Service & Leadership pathways.
