PSHE Programme

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Programme

Our Personal, Health, Social and Economic (PSHE) and Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) Programme follows a themed curriculum that follows a student’s path through the College addressing topics and issues most relevant to their age. Weekly lessons allow tutors to proactively engage in discussion and answer questions focusing on the challenges they are likely to face at any given age.

The following topics are covered in a sequenced, spiral programme that builds on prior learning building understanding cumulatively as pupils progress through the College. Key pillars include keeping safe, online life and media, emotional and mental health, health and fitness, relationships, sexual health, values, rights and responsibilities, future choices and money and personal skills development

These lessons are complemented by regular assemblies, workshops and guest speakers. Themes and topics are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain topical and reflect current debate and thinking.
