Combined Cadets Force (CCF) is an extremely popular aspect of the St Edmund’s experience.
CCF units exist in schools around the UK, and at St Edmund’s we’re fortunate to benefit from our very own unit.
Students can enter either the Royal Air Force (RAF) or Army sections. They join weekly activities which build resourcefulness, teamwork and independence. We also run overnight camps within College grounds or at army bases in the UK.
Skills developed include:
- First aid
- Aircraft knowledge
- Flying lessons with the RAF
- Adventure training
- Field manoeuvres
- Survival skills
The leadership skills, team building and self-confidence gained enable young people to take charge of their lives and to reach their potential in school and beyond.
