St Edmund's Results & Destinations 2026
Our 2026 A Level results are in and the Class of 2026 have again delivered some excellent academic achievements, reflecting the hard work, resilience and high aspirations of our students, with our dedicated teaching staff supporting every step of the way.
2025 GCSE results were recording breaking for St Ed’s with 93.1% passes, and 85% achieving grades 9-5 and we look forward to seeing the 2026 results in just a few days.
GCSE
In 2025, 95% of results were awarded 9–4 (A*–C) grades, with 44% of results achieving the top 9–7 (A*–A) mark – a record for St Edmund’s outside of the Covid years, when non-exam grades rose across the board nationally. There were also a number of students that scored ‘Straight As’.
CTEC
St. Edmund’s first cohort completing CTEC Business and Sport and Physical Education studies performed exceptionally well, achieving the equivalent of 92% A*–B grades, demonstrating both the strength of these new technical pathways and the value that can be added when pupils are given opportunities that match.
A Level
More than one third of St Edmund’s students taking A Levels scored at least one A* or A grade in 2026, with over 60% achieving A*–B, with any outstanding individuals achieving A*-A.
Pupils have secured places at some of the UK’s leading universities, including Durham University, Imperial College London, the University of St Andrews, UCL and the University of Edinburgh.
They will go on to study an impressive breadth of subjects, including Architecture, Biochemistry Economics, Engineering, Fine Art, Law and Neuroscience reflecting the diverse interests, talents and ambitions within the year group.
Others have chosen increasingly competitive Degree Apprenticeship routes, securing opportunities including Logistics with Morrisons and a Degree Apprenticeship with KPMG. These pathways will allow pupils to combine further academic study with professional experience and demonstrate the breadth of destinations now available to St Edmund’s leavers.
St Edmund’s is a World-Class High-Performance Learning (HPL) School, with teaching built around an evidence-based approach that develops the cognitive skills, values, attitudes and attributes associated with high performance. At its heart is a belief that high achievement is possible for every pupil. Combined with the College’s Catholic ethos and commitment to educating the whole person, this means success at St Edmund’s is about more than examination grades. Sixth Formers are encouraged to become confident, compassionate and ambitious young adults, developing the leadership, communication and personal skills that will enable them to flourish long after they leave the College.
Congratulations to the St Edmund’s Class of 2026.
