Cadets from Syntax took part in an engaging and challenging Junior Leadership Weekend on 17–18 January as part of the College’s CCF programme.

Throughout the weekend, cadets were put through their paces with a series of practical tasks designed to develop key leadership qualities. Activities focused on teamwork, communication, decision-making and confidence, all essential skills for effective leadership.

Alongside these challenges, cadets learned more about the values and standards expected within the armed forces. The programme included a variety of scenarios that tested their ability to lead and respond under pressure, with activities taking place both inside and outside the classroom.

The weekend concluded with a dedicated afternoon of skill development. Cadets practiced instructing lessons – an important part of leadership training – before finishing with shooting practice on the range.

The event proved to be both demanding and rewarding, giving cadets valuable experience and an opportunity to build their leadership capabilities. Well done to all who took part in a successful and enjoyable weekend.
