Since the earliest days of the College the Sixth Form has been known as Rhetoric and our sixth formers have always been known as Rhetoricians. On entering Rhetoric, our main aim is for you to achieve the highest A level grades possible, thus enabling you to secure the university course of your choice or to enter into a career or profession. Academic standards are high and we have a committed and talented teaching staff. Teaching groups are small. We see this as essential for effective teaching and learning. It provides an opportunity for discussion and small group work, as well as ensuring a high degree of individual attention from the teachers.
Rhetoricians have full use of all the College’s study and recreational facilities including a well-equipped library, excellent IT resources, well-equipped art and music suites and a wide range of sports facilities. Rhetoricians also have their own study area with IT resources and a common room where they can relax and enjoy the company of their fellow students.
