What happens next?
Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to arrange a date for an interview. References will also be requested from your current school.
We also encourage you to join us for a taster day. These days are individually tailored to reflect your Sixth Form subject choices and offer a good insight into life at St Edmund’s.
Important for all applicants
Entry to Sixth Form is usually conditional on achieving at least a grade 6 in the subjects you wish to study at A Level with the following exceptions:
- Grade 7 for Mathematics
- Grade 8 for Further Mathematics
- Two Grade 6 in Combined Science to do any Science.
Grade 6 is usually required in related subjects to study the following subjects:
Economics | Grade 6+ in English and Mathematics |
Media Studies | Grade 6+ in English |
Physical Education | Grade 6+ in Biology |
Politics | Grade 6+ in English |
Psychology | Grade 6+ in Mathematics |
For CTEC Courses, pupils should be able to demonstrate both a keen interest in the subject and a commitment to the demands of the course
