Sixth Form

Entry to Rhetoric (Sixth Form) is normally on condition of a minimum of five grade B GCSE’s or above (of the equivalent new grading structure marks of 9-5 in the applicable subjects) including those subjects which you wish to study at A Level.  Students studying A Level Mathematics ideally require a grade 8/7 is required GCSE Mathematics and a grade 9/8 for Further Mathematics at GCSE Level.  In addition, a minimum of B grades are required in the subjects to be studied at AS Level.  Students will also be invited to attend an interview with the Headmaster and provide references from their current school.

Sixth Form Scholarships are available.  More information on these can be found in the Scholarship and Bursaries section of this website.

We invite all those interested in applying for Sixth Form at the College to come for a taster day.  We arrange these days on an individual basis and tailor the day to enable the student to experience the subjects that they wish to study at A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and meet with staff who will be able to offer further advice.  The time here will also give an excellent insight into life at the College including the extra curricular programme, Combined Cadet Force and our highly regarded Duke of Edinburgh Award.
