There was a wonderful sense of excitement, anticipation and celebration at St Edmund’s College today as pupils came together to receive their GCSE results and mark an important milestone in their educational journey.
For the St Edmund’s Class of 2026, today brought plenty of smiles, hugs and congratulations as pupils opened their results alongside the friends and teachers who have shared their journey.
Every results envelope tells a different story. For some, today represents the reward for consistently high academic achievement; for others, it marks the culmination of extraordinary progress, resilience or determination. Behind every result are lessons learned, challenges overcome, friendships formed and countless moments of encouragement from teachers, families and friends.
We could not be more proud of the 2026 Poets
GCSE Results Day provides an important opportunity to celebrate that whole journey.
Throughout their time at St Edmund’s, this year group has contributed enormously to College life. They have represented the College on sports fields, performed on stage and in concerts, participated in clubs and societies, supported charitable causes, taken on leadership roles and contributed to the everyday life of the St Edmund’s community.
For many, today also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter at St Edmund’s sixth form. They were able to visit the new Sixth Form Centre, which will become their home as they begin their A-Level and CTEC studies in September.
To every member of the GCSE Class of 2026: be proud of what you have achieved and of the journey that brought you here. Well, done to you all. Enjoy the celebrations, enjoy the moment, and enjoy the fruits of all your hard work.
