As part of the Rhetoric (Sixth Form) experience, students were invited to take part in a series of mock interviews on 7th November, led by former pupils from our alumni and wider community.
The sessions are designed to help students prepare for upcoming university, apprenticeship, and job interviews, offering them a chance to practise their communication skills and receive constructive feedback from those who have experienced the process firsthand.
Our alumni volunteers, representing a wide variety of professions, generously gave their time to share advice, tips, and personal experiences.

Supporting students in variety of areas, the sessions are designed ot help improve their responses to common interview questions, develope their confidence in discussing personal achievements and understand the importance of making a strong first impression.

The event not only boosted students’ readiness for future interviews but also highlighted the strength of our school community. It was inspiring to see former pupils and members of our local community support the next generation, offering reassurance and encouragement as Rhetoric II prepare for their next chapter.
As part of the preparations for the event, Rhetoricians were joined by Sue Farrugia from Barclays LifeSkills, who provided valuable guidance on interview preparation. She introduced the students to the STAR model and shared a range of helpful tips and techniques.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part for their enthusiasm, insight, and continued connection to our school.
