Students Celebrate Carnegie Reading Challenge
Students gathered in the Library today to celebrate the completion of this term’s Carnegie Reading Challenge, marking the end of weeks of enthusiastic reading and discussion.
Throughout the term, participants challenged themselves to read the books shortlisted for the prestigious Carnegie Award, exploring a range of thought-provoking and engaging stories. The celebration event was an opportunity to recognise their commitment to reading while enjoying St Edmund’s famous chocolate brownies.
The event featured a lively and insightful discussion, with students sharing their thoughts on the shortlisted books and debating their favourites. The session concluded with a vote, which saw Birdie crowned the group’s favourite title, with Wolf Siren finishing a close second.
