St Edmund’s Students Receive National Recognition in the Anthea Bell Prize
We are delighted to congratulate three of our Modern Foreign Languages students who have received commendations in this year’s Anthea Bell Prize, organised by Queen’s College, University of Oxford.
During the Lent Term, several St Edmund’s College students took part in the prestigious national translation competition, which celebrates linguistic talent, creativity and cultural understanding. This year, the competition attracted entries from more than 25,000 students across the UK, making our students’ success an exceptional achievement.
The following students were awarded commendations:
- Irene Z – Mandarin (Level 3)
- Samuel Q – Spanish (Level 4) and Italian (Level 4)
- Jamie R – German (Level 1)
Their entries were selected by the judging panel for their outstanding quality, demonstrating impressive linguistic ability, creativity and dedication.
Congratulations to Irene, Samuel and Jamie on this well-deserved recognition. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and of the enthusiasm for languages shown by all of our students who took part in this year’s competition.
The students have now received their certificates from Queen’s College, Oxford and we look forward to celebrating their success!
