Cathy Noble, HPL Lead for the College and Rebecca Colley, HPL Lead for the Prep, recently attended the HPL Annual Global Conference.
Whilst at the conference, Cathy was able to collect the certificate for the St Edmund’s High Performance World Class School status – which followed two years of dedication and hard work from Cathy and all the teaching staff, and helped provide a clear vision in educational philosophy and practice; one fully aligned with our position as a Catholic school.
Cathy writes:
“The title of the conference was Leading High Performance for Tomorrow, and the speakers were a real highlight. We heard from Professor Dame Peacock who talked about her research into Learning without Limits and life experience as an educator; particularly powerful for those in Prep School and Early Years Education.
It was great to attend the Gala Dinner and receive our award from Professor Deborah Eyre. It was also an opportunity to continue to network with other schools from across the world as well as other Catholic Schools interested in our work.
In attending the many lectures and workshops, I was particularly proud to reflect on the teachers and leaders we have at St Edmund’s College who understand that we are working for every pupil to engage in the tools and thinking behind High Performance. In the work they do we are fostering students who are optimistic about what they can achieve, engaging in their own learning and positive about the opportunities they can create for themselves. This is just one of the things that makes HPL schools different.”
It’s great to see how embracing HPL is creating a positive impact across the school, and the accreditation is a clear recognition that St Ed’s is determined to support all students to develop a high performance mindset and become a high attainer.
