On 2nd December 2025, our Economics and Politics pupils had the exciting opportunity to attend an engaging day of learning and discussion in Euston. The event featured speakers including Ed Balls, Jamie Rush, and MP Torsten Bell, who explored pressing topics such as climate change, poverty, artificial intelligence, and the UK budget.
The day offered pupils a unique chance to deepen their understanding of these critical issues and consider how the insights gained could be applied to their upcoming exams. Experts from prestigious institutions such as the Institute for Fiscal Studies, Bloomberg, and the Institute for Economic Affairs shared their knowledge and answered student questions, giving pupils a firsthand view of real-world economics and policymaking.
Students also benefited from being surrounded by peers with shared interests, learning from their questions and perspectives in a positive, curiosity-driven environment. The trip proved to be an invaluable experience, combining expert insights with collaborative learning and academic enrichment.
