St Edmund‘s College last week held their annual Charity Week in aid of Caritas Bakhita House, which is run by Caritas, raising an impressive total of nearly £10,000. The week–long event was jam–packed with activities for both staff and students, starting with a staff v student hockey and football match. Both matches ended in a 0–0 draw, with everyone enjoying the competitive spirit. The most popular event was the ‘Soak the Teacher‘ event, despite the freezing weather. All those involved were soaked from head to toe, raising a lot of laughs from the students and some hearty donations. The week also included a shooting competition, a talent show, and many student–led activities, including bake and pizza sales. At the end of the week, the final total reached nearly £10,000.00. All money raised will go to Caritas Bakhita House, a charity helping to support women who are victims of human trafficking.
