St Edmund’s College & Prep School, Ware, is delighted to announce another excellent set of GCSE results for 2024. Building on the sustained success of recent years, the School’s reputation for delivering consistent excellence goes from strength to strength with Year 11 pupils securing an admirable collection of grades.
This year, 95% of results were awarded 9–4 (A*–C) grades, with 27% of results achieving the top 9-8 (A*–A) mark – a record for St Edmund’s outside of the Covid years, when non-exam grades rose across the board nationally. There were also a number of students that scored ‘Straight As’.
These results come on the back of another positive set of A Level results in recent weeks, underlining St Edmund’s growing standing as a leading education provider for families in Hertfordshire and beyond.
Matthew Mostyn, Headmaster at St Edmund’s College, said, “We are hugely proud of our ability to deliver consistently excellent results across all levels of education. Pupils have shown amazing dedication and commitment this year, and these results are the wonderful, tangible outcome of all their hard work. We congratulate their parents, too, and look forward to welcoming them back to St Ed’s to continue their studies in our Sixth Form this September.”
St Edmund’s is committed to providing an environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth, preparing pupils for success both personally and professionally. Against this backdrop, the School has recently been awarded World Class High Performance Learning (HPL) School status, and is now a member of the Fellowship and Global Community of HPL Schools.
