St Edmund’s Prep Euro 2024 Celebration Week
St Edmund’s Prep have been celebrating Euro 2024 this week with a range of activities in the classroom and on the sports fields.
Football tournaments have been running throughout the week at different age ranges, beginning with group stage matches. The countries represented were: England, Italy, France, Poland, Germany and Spain.
In class, the children have been learning more about the countries in Europe that qualified for the Euro 2024 competition. They have created country factfiles and painted pictures of famous landmarks. The children were also given the opportunity to take photographs to include in their own match reports, taking cameras down to the sports pitches and spending time in the role of a match photographer whilst matches were being played.
On Wednesday morning, the whole school gathered on the front field to watch all of the finals. We also held a closing ceremony where each year group performed a dance routine that they had learned.

Form 1-4 Boys and Girls- France
Form 5&6 Girls- Italy
Form 5&6 Boys- England
