Teacher of Mathematics

We require a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics.

The successful candidate will possess impressive academic qualifications, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to teach pupils of a wide range of ability. He or she will join an experienced team in a well-resourced department.

St Edmund’s College (England’s oldest Catholic school) offers modern facilities in a magnificent country setting in rural Hertfordshire, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds and where staff have many opportunities to contribute to the lively co-curricular life of the College.

You will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children.  As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.

As with all staff, you will be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn.

The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity.

INTERVIEWS TO TAKE PLACE: As soon as possible after the half-term break.

Working Hours and Salary

Working Hours:  Term Time hours are 8.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:  The salary for the post will be dependent upon experience and in accordance with the St Edmund’s Pay Scale.
