Teacher of EAL (Full-time)

We wish to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Teacher of EAL, due to the expansion of the department.

(Required January 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter)

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the linguistic requirements of the secondary school curriculum and will be able to adapt to the linguistic needs and learning requirements of the students in particular Academic English and B1-C1 Level and the needs of A Level pupils.

We currently have approximately 100 students from overseas, aged 11 to 19 years, from about 20 different countries and usually 50% of these receive teaching and/or support from the International Department.

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire. Working Hours and Salary

Working Hours:  Term Time hours are 8.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:  The salary for the post will be dependent upon experience and in accordance with the St Edmund’s Pay Scale.
