Teacher of PE and Girls’ Games

Sport is a very important part of our ethos at St Edmund’s College and we aim to provide positive experiences for our pupils so that they enjoy playing sport at school and more importantly will endeavour to lay the foundations for a life that is healthy and active when they leave.

(Required for January 2020 or April 2020)

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and fully qualified Teacher of PE and Girls’ Games to join our experienced PE department in its aim to provide excellent academic teaching, promote and stimulate pupil interest and enjoyment in the subject and to promote health and fitness for current and future lifestyle. Experience of teaching Hockey and or Netball to a high standard is essential, as well as teaching Physical Education at GCSE and A Level.

St Edmund’s offers a wide range of sports and a competitive fixture list in our main team sports.

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire.

Working Hours and Salary

Working Hours:  Term Time hours are 8.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:  The salary for the post will be dependent upon experience and in accordance with the St Edmund’s Pay Scale.
