Teacher of Design and Technology

St Edmund’s College is seeking to appoint a full-time, ambitious, and enthusiastic teacher of DT.

(Required for September 2022)

Design and Technology is taught throughout the School, delivered to all students in Key Stage 3 and then as an option at GCSE and A Level. With small class sizes, DT is taught on the ground floor of the College in a spacious purpose-built workshop, and an adjacent supplementary classroom.

The department has many links with local industry and successful projects have been underpinned by working with outside professionals.

Applications from new entrants to the profession or from more experienced teachers are equally welcome.

The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity.

Working Hours and Salary

Working Hours:  Term Time hours are 8.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:  The salary for the post will be dependent upon experience and in accordance with the St Edmund’s Pay Scale.
