Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Cover)

We require a Learning Support Assistant to support the pastoral and academic care of the students of our Prep School.

Required for January 2023

The role involves supporting the students and providing general support to teachers in the management of students’ learning in and out of the classroom.

The Prep School prides itself on its high levels of pastoral care.

The successful applicant must have high professional standards as well as good communication skills.  The role requires a good degree of flexibility as well as a sense of humour. An NVQ Level 3 or similar would be an advantage as would experience of supporting children with specific academic support.

The role is 5 days per week, term time only, hours as follows:

  • Monday and Wednesday – 8.30am to 3.30pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 8.30am to 4.30pm (to include support to our end of day Tea-Time Club).

The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity.
