Deputy Head Academic

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Academic.

At Edmund’s College offers modern facilities in a magnificent country setting in rural Hertfordshire, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds.

We require an experienced academic leader to work closely with the Headmaster and Senior Leadership Team in guiding the strategic and academic development and day-to-day operation of St Edmund’s College. The Deputy Head Academic will work with the Headmaster and SLT to secure and sustain effective teaching and learning throughout the school and to monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and standards of pupils’ achievement, using benchmarks and setting targets for improvement.

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire. St Edmund’s is England’s oldest Catholic school offering an all-round co-education for students from 3 to 18 and for families from all faiths.
