We require an Assistant Head Co-curricular

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire. St Edmund’s is England’s oldest Catholic school offering an all-round co-education for students from 3 to 18 and for families from all faiths.

The Assistant Head Co-curricular is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the delivery of the co-curricular programme in the College (11 – 18 years), maintaining outstanding levels of co-curricular provision and monitoring all aspects of the programme, including pupil involvement, staff engagement and performance, facilities and health and safety of pupils.

The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity.

You will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.

As with all staff, you will be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn.

Salary

Salary:  The salary for the post will be dependent upon experience and in accordance with the St Edmund’s Pay Scale.
