Daniel Garvin was invited to take part in an International Youth Orchestra as part of the Honours Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York. Daniel was the only participant from the UK, and there were only a handful of members invited from other countries with the rest from all over America. He loved the experience very much and became a bit of a celebrity because of his accent! Daniel has said it was very exciting to have the chance to play in such a famous venue and he loved meeting so many other musicians.
Daniel, a talented violinist and Music Scholar at St Edmund’s, has been playing since he was 6 years old and achieved Grade 8 Distinction in March 2016.
Congratulations Daniel on this wonderful achievement.
