On 23rd September the U16 netball team took to the courts in the County Round of the Schools Netball Nationals Competition. The team faced five group games that saw an excellent displayed of netball in order for the team to secure some convincing wins. Over the course of these games the team scored 68 goals and only conceded 23 which saw them top their group. With the top two teams from the county progressing to the regional round it was all to play for the semi-final. St Edmund’s were drawn against Broxbourne School. The team started the game with strength and were quick to turnover the ball to score the first goal, this lifted the team and with a dominating display of netball the girls were victorious with a 15-6 win. Berkhamsted School were the opposition and an end to end game was witnessed. St Edmund’s kept their cool, working as a squad to seal a 9-6 win and be crowed Hertfordshire Schools County Champions!
