Over half term, our Elements (National Curriculum Year 7) to Syntax (National Curriculum Year 10) students were invited to visit Madrid to train at the Real Madrid Academy.
The students were surprised with a new, personalised kit for the trip before heading to the outstanding facilities at the Real Madrid Academy. There, students were able to practise their football skills in the February sunshine, taking part in back-to-back training sessions and competitive tournaments.
Following exciting football excursions, including a tour of the Bernabeu Stadium and the Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo fixture, the students embraced Spanish culture with trips to mass, Spanish food and a trip to the Stella Maris School, where staff and students were pleased to catch up with familiar faces.
With thanks to Mr Cunnah, Mr Jones, Miss Hebdon, Mrs MacDonald and Mr Adams for leading the trip.
