Summer School Academic Life

School Preparation Course

The British School Preparation Course is specially designed for and recommended to students who are interested in or intending to follow the National Curriculum of England. It covers the ages of Secondary School 11-16 years, and covers the main aspects of boarding school life.

This course gives 12 hours of English language teaching and 8 hours of specialist training and curriculum-based teaching, and also offers pastoral and academic orientation.

There will be many new things to discover for young students who change from their own country to the British system of education. Usually there must be a period of adjustment for new students, who have to learn to function in the medium of English language every day, but also have to adapt to the experience of living away from home, maybe for the first time. This course will help to prepare students to deal with the little problems which they may find, and this will save time later.

After this special preparation during the summer school, new students will join the academic year in September at their chosen boarding school and feel confident and ready to get the maximum benefit from their school time.

On the Registration Form, there is a special box to tick for "British School Preparation".
