Examinations

During the summer school, students are offered the opportunity to sit for an internationally recognised qualification in English language.

The examination we usually offer is the City & Guilds ESOL Qualification. City & Guilds ESOL Qualifications are offered at four different levels of English - corresponding to the CEFR levels of , B1, B2, C1 and C2. (elementary to advanced)

Examinations are held at the end of weeks 3 and 6.

Students may prepare for them during the Examination Preparation option. The examinations preparation option takes place in the afternoons from 13:30 to 15:30. There is a special box to tick on the Registration Form.

The teachers will advise the students which is the best level to take. This option is free of charge / included in the fees, and open to ages 13-16 (middles and seniors)

Certificates are posted to successful candidates after the summer. The certificates can be used as proof of English language level .
