Zeal for the Faith
St Edmund's College is a fully residential campus during the summer school. There are 180 student beds. 90 beds for girls and 90 beds for boys.
All students live in twin study bedrooms with 2 beds in each room. Bedrooms are arranged in corridors for boys and corridors for girls. Students of a similar age live in the same corridor. In each bedroom there are 2 students of different nationality. The reason is that students want to make new friends from different countries and practise their English more.
In each corridor there is a house parent / teacher who takes care of the students living there.
Bedrooms have wardrobes and drawer space so that it is not necessary to live out of a suitcase. There is a desk for reading and writing. Bed linen is provided, but towels are not.
After a very busy day of school classes and activities, there are TV/common rooms and games rooms for the evenings, public telephones for receiving telephone calls, small kitchens for making tea / coffee / toast / snacks, shower rooms and toilets. There are also computer rooms for the evening, with WiFi, email and internet facilities.
