Monday 26^th March

U11’s St Edmund’s Prep 109   v Heathmount Swimming Gala  118

As you can see from the results the gala was very close.  We won many races, including some fantastic performances from Joseph Walton, Bryn Couser, Daire Coates, Lily Ridehalgh, Natasha Philiastides and Max Fraser.  The Freestyle relay was also won by our year 5 boys, Bryn Couser, Matthew Pattison, Harrison Cooke and Max Fraser.   The squadron, in the last race where one boy or girl compete from each year group, was especially exciting as one of our teams won by quite a way, thanks to Bryn Courser, Max Fraser, Amber Mays, Lily Ridehalgh, Joseph Walton, Theo Barrett, Natasha Philiastides and Charlotte Christie.   It was encouraging to see how much the team have improved and how they competed with such great team spirit.

Tuesday 4^th October

U11’s St Edmund’s Prep v St Nicholas’ Swimming Gala

The swimming team performed superbly against St Nicholas’ School and achieved first places in most of the individual and relay races.  Natasha Philiastides, our swimming captain, was in particularly fine form as she won her butterfly and freestyle events in emphatic style.  St Edmund’s Prep finished as the overall winners and the children worked enthusiastically as a team to support eachother throughout the gala.  Well done!
