Pancake Race Fun at the Prep and in Boarding

The Prep school congregated on the Astroturf on Shrove Tuesday for the annual Pancake Race. Each House was represented by children from the year groups and also each House had a member of staff running. The rest of the school cheered the runners on with great excitement.

Each team had to run the course with their pans and pancakes and as part of the circuit had to successfully toss their pancakes twice.

The children and staff had a great time and this year Mr Blom presented the Pancake Race Cup to Campion. Well done to all the runners and to all the cheerleaders who did a great motivational job.

In the evening the boarders also donned their trainers to compete in the Allen Hall (Boys) vs Garvey’s (Girls) Pancake race around the quad. Although it was difficult to tell who was more competitive between the staff and the students it was a great fun event. This year Miss Cobb was very proud of the girls who came in as the winners.
