Rugby at St Edmund’s

Rugby is delivered across three pillars. Participation, Performance and Excellence.

Participation

Performance

Excellence

enable all students to understand the fundamentals of rugby regardless of their experience. inspire  students to a apply their rugby skills in a competitive environment, e.g. to represent the College and play for a local club outside of school through our club links. create an aspirational pathway for students to represent the College in regional and national tournaments as well as a join an elite player programme.

Across all pillars, students are taught an attacking, fast paced brand of rugby, which utilises, ‘SAS‘ (speed, attack and skill) and a sporting ethos of ‘BAM‘ (ball always moving).
